Majix 1.1 is the third release of a Microsoft Word to XML converter written in Java. It corrects some bugs from version 1.0 and provides support for XSL through James Clarck's XT, while the version 1.0 used the now discontinued MSXSL from Microsoft. Majix is a converter from Microsoft's Word Rich Text Format (RTF) to XML. It converts RTF styles and some document characteristics into a XML file conforming to a document type definition DTD. The names of the tags may be changed by the user. A professional version, Majix Pro, is to be issued in 1999. It will allow more flexibility in defining the mapping process and will support several other input formats in addition to RTF. You can download Majix 1.1 from TetraSix web site. |
